Our company, Hellenic Defence Vehicle Systems S.A. (HDVS), was founded in 2001 and is a wholly owned Greek subsidiary of Krauss-Maffei Wegmann & Co. KG (KMW). Our parent company, Europe’s leading system supplier for armoured wheel and track vehicles, has expanded on its own commitment in Greece while paving the way for a successful conclusion to the LEO2HEL project, where the Greek Army has ordered 170 LEOPARD 2HEL vehicles plus support periphery.
Turning to advantage the Know-how and the experience from the co-operation in LEO2HEL project and the state-of-the-art infrastructure we supply a wide range of services:

Our company has been certified for Facilities Security Clearance from the Hellenic MOD to a NATO-SECRET degree. HDVS is registered in the Registry of Domestic Defence Material Manufacturers of the Hellenic MOD, is a member of the Hellenic Aerospace & Defence Industries Group (HASDIG) and the Greek-German Chamber (AHK).
Our Quality Assurance Systems is certified according to ISO 9001:2008.

2001: Foundation of HDVS in the scope of the LEO2 HEL project

2005: Start Field Support e.g. for PzH2000, LEO1, LEO2 A4, LEO2 HEL

2010: Certification for Armour Steel Welding according DIN 2303, Q3, BK1 from BwB

2011: Participation in Taiwan Patriot Program and certification from RAYTHEON for Special Processes

2013: Certification for Defense Material Welding according DIN 2303, Q2, BK1 from SLV

Our facilities, with covered surface of 4.100 sq. meters, are located in the 1st Industrial Area of Volos. They are full equipped with modern machinery for manufacturing of high precision and quality products.
